“eyeQ makes video calling more effective and less exhausting by
empowering NON-VERBAL communication”
our story
We are a late-stage start-up based in Delft, The Netherlands, founded in 2022.
Co-founder Gert Maass is our Chief Designer. Many years of experience in Design-for-Manufacturing in Europe & Asia has enabled him to develop and steer our international network of component designers & manufacturers.
Video calls frustrated us greatly. Meetings were often superficial due to a lack of engagement. They were also draining our energy.
We discovered the source of our frustration and fatigue: the inability to send and receive eye signals at the same time. We may look at the camera trying to send eye cues, or at the face on our screen to see the response, but not at both. We don’t see eye-to-eye.
Most of us only look at the screen. With disastrous consequences. We appear to be staring down, looking at something else. We seem distracted. Badly hurting our credibility and our impact.
our solution
We need a solution that empowers our visual communication skills. Because we want to come across as the engaged professionals we are, and build energizing connections with our video contacts.
We got to work. The result: a patent-pending design that is easy to use with a laptop and MacBook, and that preserves access to the keyboard. Our products can also be placed on a flat monitor.
Use eyeQ to have more impact in your video calls. To convince clients. To bond with colleagues. Support patients. Inspire students. Chat with your mom. And perhaps even make peace with your enemies.
You can fold your eyeQ after the meeting and carry it under your arm or in your briefcase to your home office or other workspace.
“we humans are designed to use our eyes to help us build trust,
to convince, to inspire, to assure, and so much more”
how it works
The magic of eyeQ relies on a window of high-tech glass that is also used as a mirror. When you look through the window at your computer screen, the eyeQ camera catches the reflection of your face & eye gaze.
Like a TV news broadcaster, you can project eye contact at the other end of the call. But you have one big advantage: you get to observe the response of your audience on your screen. You are now empowered to actively use your eye gaze to influence your video contacts and to steer the meeting.
Our products also help you generate a professional screen presence. The design encourages you to align the position of your screen and your posture so that the eyeQ camera can make compelling images of you throughout the call.
So no more worries about deteriorating video images over time. No more need to look at your selfie image during the call to check if you are still looking good.
our design
Our products blend premium video technology with minimalist design. The look and feel are inspired by iconic designs from Silicon Valley and the work of leading design studios in luxury goods from across Europe.
We use custom-designed components constructed from premium materials. The camera technology was originally developed for mobile phones, resulting in superior image quality.
The combination of automated production processes and expert manual craftsmanship results in reliable products that tickle the aesthetic senses.
“we passionately believe that communication technology
should improve human relationships & mutual understanding”
we care about people
Our product components are sourced from high-tech factories and family-owned workshops with well-trained workers. Our carefully selected partners have strong track records in innovation and product quality.
Technicians with superior manual skills assemble our products in The Netherlands.
The workers of our production partners are well taken care off. They work in healthy and safe environments, are treated respectfully by their managers, and are fairly compensated. And they take great pride in delivering consistent quality.
we care about our planet and her ecosystems
We try our hardest to do no harm. Directly, and indirectly. We use materials from responsible sources for our products and packaging.
We seek to partner with companies that produce materials that are harmless to our planet and the life it struggles to sustain. This is an ongoing effort as new materials are being developed across the world.
Our products are covered with sustainable fabric, and the packaging is produced from recycled materials. We aim to become a certified carbon-neutral company by the end of 2025.
